CHOOSE FROM THESE THREE GREAT RIDES:

    Half-Day Jungle Horseback Ride

The half day horseback ride is all jungle. You will ride among lush foliage and rainforest habitats to a hidden riverine valley.  There are excellent opportunities for seeing birds and possibly wildlife as the valley is home to howler monkeys, jaguars, puma, ocelot, tapir and more.  There are opportunities to canter in places. This is a great introduction ride for beginners, most of whom have learned to canter by the end of the day.  You will spend about two and a half hours in the saddle.

After about two or two and half hours you arrive at the waterfalls.  Your horses will be tied while you hike down a steep path to the river.  Enjoy your specially prepared lunch and a refreshing leisurely swim before returning to the horses for the ride back the horse ranch. We have seen jaguar and puma tracks on the trail so it’s always a good idea to “keep your eyes peeled.” Your guide will point out features, birds, and will discuss traditional medicinal uses of plants and trees.
