Mayan Cooking Experience
Learn how to prepare traditional Mayan foods with this hands-on cooking experience. Toast plantain leaves, hand grind corn and chocolate, and learn the secrets of cooking over the traditional open-flame Mayan fire hearth. During this half-day experience, you’ll learn how to make corn tortillas, tamales, caldo, and the famed Mayan chocolate drink. The best part—you get to eat everything you’ve made, so come hungry and leave with a “belly full!”

What to Wear & Bring: Shorts or lightweight long pants, shirt, and comfortable shoes. You’ll be provided with aprons and head coverings (or bring your own hat) at the site.
