Chaa Creek Blue Morpho Butterfly Farm & Natural History Center with Xunantunich
Start your day with a guided tour of the ancient city-state of Xunantunich. Famous for its hand-cranked ferry crossing and having the second tallest man-made structure in Belize, Xunantunich will bring the noble history of the Mayan civilization to life. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and then head over to the Chaa Creek Blue Morpho Butterfly Farm and Natural History Center. Learn about the entire life cycle of Belize’s most beautiful butterfly and get a chance to interact with them in their enclosure. The Natural History Center takes visitors along a fascinating time line, which begins with prehistoric land formation through to the shifting of the continents. You are able to see the movement of life in Belize through the ages–from Mayan temples in the steaming jungle to modern day traditional healers.
